ABC has ordered a new reality series starring the British chef and produced by the American Idol host that will provide healthy makeovers to the inhabitants of an entire city, The Hollywood Reporter reported Sunday.

The yet-to-be-titled series will follow Oliver as he travels to the city and utilizes local resources to improve eating habits, according to The Reporter, which added the show is loosely based on a campaign Oliver launched in the U.K. several years ago to improve children's nutrition.

Seacrest said he got the idea for the series when he heard Oliver was looking to bring his campaign across the Atlantic, according to The Reporter.  The show will reportedly expand upon the original project by not only tackling schools but also businesses and other places across the yet-to-be-identified city.

"I couldn't do what I do in terms of my schedule if I didn't eat right and exercise right," Seacrest told The Reporter.

"As a kid I was chubby, and I'm a firm believer that the fuel we put into our body results in a healthy lifestyle. Jamie's going to come over here, roll up his sleeves and use the resources of each town to help condition living habits to make it a better and healthier place."

Oliver previously served as a judge on ABC's Oprah's Big Give reality series, and his "personality impressed" the network.

"Jamie has been through this mission before," ABC reality chief Vicki Dummer told The Reporter. "He will be an advocate for change, but not act like, 'I'm from Britain and you Americans are fat.' I think he's really equipped to make a change and knock on the right doors."

ABC has ordered six episodes of the series, according to The Reporter, which added it will likely debut sometime next year.
