Gobo heads into the human world to get inspiration for a new song in the trailer released Monday by Apple TV for the holiday special The First Snow of Fraggle Rock.
The trailer opens with the Fraggles eagerly awaiting the arrival of the first snow of the season. Red, voiced by Karen Prell, shares how she's built a sled in preparation for the snow and Gobo's annual holiday song.
But neither appear to be forthcoming.
"Everyone's expecting my song, but I haven't even started writing it," Gobo, voiced by John Tartaglia, laments. "All I need is a starting place."
Gobo ventures into the human world -- what the Fraggles call Outer Space -- to assist in his songwriting efforts. He meets up with his Uncle Traveling Matt, voiced by Dave Goetz, who spends quite a bit of time in Outer Space but has a comical misunderstanding of humans.
The trailer previews a duet between Gobo and singer Lele Pons and the Fraggles' efforts to bring snow to Fraggle Rock. Gobo eventually returns home for the holidays.
"All of us here together," he says, "let's celebrate that."
The First Snow of Fraggle Rock, which comes to Apple TV on Friday, is produced by Lisa Henson, the CEO of the Jim Henson Company and Jim Henson's daughter, along with Halle Stanford, Tartaglia, Matt Fusfeld, Alex Cuthbertson, Arnon Milchan and Yariv Milchan.
