Home viewers cast 12.5 million votes after So You Think You Can Dance 2's Wednesday night performance show, the third consecutive week that the show has set a vote record. In addition to performing two routines with their randomly assigned partner, each of the six remaining finalists had performed one solo on Wednesday's performance show.

Joining Ivan, a 18-year-old hip-hop specialist from Seattle, WA, in the guys "bottom two" was Benji Schwimmer, a 22-year-old West Coast swing specialist from Redlands, CA. Donyelle Jones, a 26-year-old jazz and hip-hop specialist from Studio City, CA, had joined Natalie, a 22-year-old lyrical/jazz specialist from Tampa, FL, in the girls "botton two." According to So You Think You Can Dance host Cat Deeley, although Benji and Donyelle were in their respective "bottom twos," that doesn't necessarily mean that they received fewer votes than fellow finalists Travis Wall and Heidi Groskreutz, whom Cat deemed to be "safe" earlier in the live broadcast.

With the show's finale participants now set, Benji, Donyelle, Travis, and Heidi will compete in next week's final So You Think You Can Dance 2 performance show. After the broadcast airs on Wednesday, August 9 at 9PM ET/PT, viewers will have two hours to cast their votes for their favorite dancers.

Then, one week later (So You Think You Can Dance 2 won't air its usual Thursday results show next week), the results of the final performance show voting will be revealed on a special two-hour live finale broadcast airing Wednesday, August 16 at 8PM ET/PT. In addition to winning the competition's $100,000 grand prize, So You Think You Can Dance 2's winner will receive a new car and a one-year contract with Celine Dion's Las Vegas show, "A New Day."
