A romance is reportedly blooming between two Fox reality stars.

Current American Idol seventh-season finalist David Cook has been missing the show's curfew and sneaking away during the day in order to rendezvous with former So You Think You Can Dance third-season finalist Lacey Schwimmer, OK! Weekly reported Monday.

"He's gone out after curfew and gone by her apartment and they've gone to [Hollywood bakery] Doughboys, which is one of both of their favorite places," a source told OK!.  "She likes the Red Velvet [cake] and he loves it because they serve breakfast all day."

Cook and Schwimmer met during rehearsals for last week's Idol Gives Back charity special, and OK! reported she's "falling hard" for the seventh-season resident rocker -- cheering him on by attending Idol tapings for the last two weeks.

"She's going to all the tapings and goes backstage to wish him luck," a source told OK!. "He was really nervous about [performing 'Innocent' last Tuesday night]. He wasn't happy with it and didn't think he was ready to perform it, but she gave him a pep talk."

In addition, Schwimmer also reportedly teased Cook about his trip to the hospital for high blood pressure two weeks ago .

"Lacey met David during rehearsals and they had an intense chemistry immediately!" gushed a source to OK!.  "They were totally flirting and she was joking with him saying, 'Don't make your heart rate go up too high.' They have the same sense of humor."

A rep for Schwimmer -- So You Think You Can Dance's third-place finisher last summer -- confirmed to People on Tuesday that Schwimmer has been "hanging out a lot lately" with Cook.

"They did get very close during [Idol Gives Back] rehearsals," Schwimmer's rep told People.  "But now he's really trying to concentrate on the competition, so they're taking things very slow."

Last fall, Schwimmer was dating her fellow So You Think You Can Dance third-season participant Hok Konishi.  However the two have since split.

"Hok totally noticed and you could tell he was jealous," a source told OK!.  "He was Lacey's first boyfriend -- her first love -- but by the end of the [Idol Gives Back] rehearsal Lacey and David exchanged numbers."

Schwimmer was reportedly an Idol buff before meeting Cook, but since then they realized they've had more in common than just a sense of humor and their love for the same Hollywood eatery.

"She went through the whole reality show thing too so she understands," a source told OK!.

In addition, a source told People Schwimmer "has a lot of sass" -- which she would "throw" at Cook and "he would throw it right back."

"They have this chemistry that really works," the source told People.

During last night's live Idol seventh-season results show broadcast, Cook was asked a question by a fan about his current relationship status.

"David, I -- along with all of the other ladies out there -- are just dying to know if you are single," asked the fan.

"What camera do I look into?" asked Cook before finding the right one.  "Yes.  Yes [I am single]."
