"He was admitted for tests for a possible blood clot following an injury he suffered on a bounty hunt," Chapman's wife Beth Chapman wrote in a statement released Saturday.  "Duane is in very capable hands and we thank everyone for their prayers."

According to RadarOnline, Chapman was rushed to UCLA Medical Center on Saturday with extreme pain in his left leg, which he injured a few weeks ago while kicking in a door attempting to apprehend a fugitive.

However the injury -- which reportedly resulted in his muscle separating from the bone and internal bleeding -- got worse in recent days, prompting Chapman to seek treatment on Saturday.

Chapman was released from the hospital after tests concluded he didn't have a blood clot but is expected to return to the hospital for additional treatment later this week, RadarOnline reported.
