The Netflix film, which won the Documentary Special Jury Award for Archival Storytelling at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, gives viewers a fresh look at Selena, who was killed at age 23 in 1995.
Selena y Los Dinos: A Family's Legacy includes family photos and videos of Selena's rise to fame as part of the family band that also included her sister, Suzette Quintanilla and brother, AB Quintanilla III. The siblings executive produced the documentary, which was directed by Isabel Castro.
The trailer includes clips from this archival footage from Selena's personal life and early performances as well as interviews with her family.
Selena y Los Dinos: A Family's Legacy begins streaming on Netflix on Nov. 17.
