Dancing with the Stars axed Ingo Rademacher and his professional partner Kym Johnson during Tuesday night's eighth live sixteenth-season results show on ABC.

The soap star and Kym became the eighth couple eliminated from the competition based on the combination of the Dancing with the Stars judges' scores they had received during Monday night's performance show and the home viewer votes that were cast afterwards.

"This has been an amazing experience because I thought I was going to be done after like two weeks. I thought I'd go back to Hawaii and then come back for the Tuesday night finale, but Kym has choreographed the most amazing routines and she catered them towards my two left feet and it got us this far. So I've really got to say it's been an amazing experience and I've really got a ballroom frame now! I'm going to take that with me [to Hawaii]," Ingo said following his ouster.

"I really want to see [the final four couples] battle it out, because I think it's a really close competition and it's going to be great."

Added Kym in a video montage, "He's grown so much through this competition. He had no dance experience and he's now doing things that I think have surprised him, things that he thought he couldn't do, and that's what it's all about. You've done an amazing job and I'm very proud of you."

Ingo and Kym finished in fifth -- and last -- place on Monday night's leaderboard after receiving a total of 51 out of 60 possible points from Dancing with the Stars judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli. After taking the stage with a samba routine that received 24 points from the judges, the couple came back to perform a Charleston routine which earned 27 more points. Each dance was eligible to receive up to 30 possible points.

Disney Channel star Zendaya Coleman and partner Val Chmerkovskiy were the other couple still in danger of elimination prior to Ingo and Kym's ouster, however, Dancing with the Stars co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet revealed they were not necessarily one of the bottom-two couples based on the combination of the judges' scores and America's vote.

Zendaya and Val finished in fourth place on the judges' leaderboard. The pair earned a total score of 55 points after they performed a quickstep routine which received 25 points and a hip hop dance that earned 30 additional points from the judges.

Monday night's judging leaderboard was topped by 2012 Olympic gold medal winning gymnast Alexandra "Aly" Raisman and NFL football player Jacoby Jones.

Aly and partner Mark Ballas and Jacoby and partner Karina Smirnoff finished tied for first place on the leaderboard after each couple received a total of 59 points from the judges following their two routines.

Aly and Mark danced the rumba which earned a perfect score of 30 from the judges and then followed it up with an Afro Jazz routine which received an additional 29 points.

Jacoby and Karina initially performed an Argentine tango that received a perfect score of 30 as well. They then took the stage again with a Lindy Hop routine which earned them 29 more points.

Former American Idol finalist and country singer Kellie Pickler and partner Derek Hough finished in third place on the leaderboard with a total of 58 points. They first danced the Argentine tango worth a perfect score of 30 points and then performed a Flamenco routine which received 28 points from the judges.

A new Dancing with the Stars champion will be crowned during next week's sixteenth-season finals.
