Dancing with the Stars pro Peta Murgatroyd and her celebrity partner James Maslow are reportedly dating although they had both insisted they're just "friends" and would be approaching the competition very professionally.

Murgatroyd and the Nickelodeon star and Big Time Rush singer attended a party at Mixology 101 together on March 17 following Dancing with the Stars' eighteenth-season premiere and flirted the whole time, OK! Weekly reported in its April 7 issue.

At one point in the night, Maslow reportedly wrapped his arm around Murgatroyd and intimately brushed her hair behind her ear. Murgatroyd giggled at the gesture, "looking totally mesmerized," according to the magazine.

The pair allegedly didn't leave each other's side all night at the party and had played coy when asked whether they love one another.

Murgatroyd, 27, and Maslow, 23, are a unique pairing on Dancing with the Stars because they had actually dated briefly prior to the singer's stint on the show. His participation apparently shocked Murgatroyd on Day 1 of the competition.

"I actually met James once before for dinner. We kind of hit it off. I thought he was a good-looking guy, and then, he went away on tour for two weeks and I didn't see him until he walked into the studio," Murgatroyd told a producer during the season premiere.

"We're keeping things professional right now," Maslow told the cameras during the same broadcast. "Would I take her on another date? Yeah, she's a really cool girl. But right now, we're really here for the same reason. We want to win."

Murgatroyd and Maslow had been photographed together out on a date February 4 in Los Angeles. According to a Life & Style source, they met through a mutual friend and got along so well things had been expected to "get serious soon" between them.

Murgatroyd was previously linked to seventeenth-season Dancing with the Stars partner Brant Daugherty although both parties repeatedly denied they were dating.

Murgatroyd split from her ex-boyfriend of 10 months, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, a fellow Dancing with the Stars pro, in March of last year.
