In addition, CMT has tapped former Temptation Island first-season single Rossi Morreale to serve as host for Can You Duet -- which is being produced by FreemantleMedia North America, the production company behind Fox's American Idol.

Morreale's past hosting credentials include The Travel Channel's Riding with Rossi; The Style Network's Foody Call; G4 Network's Sweat; and TLC's Junkyard Mega-Wars.

"Rossi is the real deal," CMT executive Bob Kusbit and FreemantleMedia North America executive Eugene Young said in a joint statement.  "He's a natural talent with a charisma that makes people stand up and take notice.  Whether you're a contestant on the show or a viewer at home, Rossi connects with what's important."

Can You Duet will follow a group of yet-to-be-announced judges mentoring the contestants, who will compete as part of a duet and work with different partners each week.  The judges will also be responsible for critiquing each performance for home viewers, deciding who is eliminated each week, and ultimately determining the show's grand prize winning duet.

CMT ordered 11 episodes of Can You Duet last November.  The series is being executive produced by Jeff Boggs for FreemantleMedia North America, with Kusbit and Melanie Moreau serving in the same capacity for CMT.
