TNT said Thursday it has ordered a second season of "Boston's Finest," a docudrama executive-produced by Donnie Wahlberg.

The cable network said it ordered six new episodes of the unscripted series, which offers viewers "an up-close and very personal look at the men and women of the Boston Police Department and what it takes to protect one of America's greatest and most distinctive cities."
Fresh installments are to start airing in early 2014.
As part of the renewal, TNT's sister network CNN plans to encore the series.
