Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell insist there is no doubt in their minds they will get married, so they have been pegged down for details.

"We have really been trying to focus on our relationship and taking everything day by day," Bushnell, 26, told Us Weekly at The Knot Gala 2016 in New York City on Monday.

The Bachelor couple's engagement aired as part of Season 20's finale back in March, and since then, Higgins and Bushnell have been inseparable.

"Life has been so crazy that I think if we start to think [about airing a wedding special], we get a little overwhelmed, and we're just finishing up this project," said the blogger and former flight attendant.

"This project" refers to Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?, a new reality series which premieres Tuesday, October 11 at 8PM ET/PT on Freeform.

"You'll see kind of where we are at on the wedding process on the show, so you'll need to tune in to find out about that," Bushnell said of her upcoming nuptials. "For now, we're just enjoying each other's company and trying not to think too far ahead into the future."

Higgins and Bushnell just celebrated joint bachelor and bachelorette parties in Las Vegas this past weekend with some of their closest friends from The Bachelor franchise.

While the pair seems to be taking the necessary steps toward marriage, Higgins told Us that they are in no rush to tie the knot.

"I think we both get really excited about that next step, especially when it comes to our wedding," Higgins noted. "But what we realized is that sometimes, when you take those steps so quickly, it becomes a chore instead of something to celebrate."

Higgins and Bushnell's life is clearly hectic since they're choosing to remain in the public eye, so they are hoping to plan a wedding once they can sit down and relax a little bit.

"We want to make sure we're in the right headspace and calmed down, and that our life has slowed to a point where we can start planning a wedding with the mindset of a celebration, not just to get it done," Higgins explained.

The couple has said in recent weeks they are madly in love with each other, especially after having triumphed over some residual issues from The Bachelor

"I seriously am obsessed with him," Bushnell captioned a stunning photo on Monday of the pair dressed in elegant black-and-white attire at The Knot Gala.
