Becca Kufrin says she has found her happily ever after, but her journey on The Bachelorette was apparently anything but predictable.

"I came to The Bachelor looking to find the love of my life, and I'm happy to say that I have. I am engaged and in love and excited for the future, but the road to get here is not at all what I expected it to be (understatement of the century)," Becca revealed in her People blog.

The 28-year-old Minnesota publicist added, "I think I'm still in shock as this has truly been the most surreal experience of my life."

The Bachelorette's fourteenth season premiered on May 28, and Becca was introduced to 28 handsome and successful suitors after getting her heart broken on-camera by Arie Luyendyk Jr. on The Bachelor's Season 22 finale that aired in March.

"Starting out this time around, I felt a lot of anxiety. The last time I did this I was completely blindsided and heartbroken, all while mascara was smeared across my forehead and snot was running down my face," Becca joked.

"This journey was exhilarating and overwhelming, and I knew going into it that I'd be questioned constantly about if I was truly ready. To put this concern to rest before the entire season plays out, let me say on the record that yes, I am ready... [I'm] willing to commit to a lifelong partner."

Becca said she wouldn't put herself through such a "crazy, unconventional journey" if she wasn't willing to give it her all.

"I want a relationship like the one my mom and dad had, what every strong relationship around me looks like, and I wasn't going to allow past heartbreak to hinder me from finding that," she noted.

Becca said Night 1 of filming at the Los Angeles mansion turned out to be a "worthwhile whirlwind," as she engaged in many great conversations and felt a spark with multiple bachelors, who seemed serious about the process and invested in developing a sincere relationship.

But the first Rose Ceremony of the season concluded with seven guys getting eliminated.

"After a long night I left the mansion in my joggers and slippers layered under my dress (and of course my main necessity, the robe) and anticipated a long-awaited nap. With night one in the books, I eagerly await you all seeing what the first week of dates brings," Becca wrote in her People blog.

"You'll see a few familiar faces on my first group date that may leave you feeling nostalgic. It's one laced with quite a bit of drama that quickly left me questioning if this journey would work out for me."

Episode 2 will also apparently feature Becca's "absolute favorite date of all time" that "unfortunately led to something shattered."

"Is it my heart?" Becca teased. "You'll have to tune in next week to find out. As for the rest of the journey, well let's just say I can relate to Arie more than I ever expected. When it comes to matters of the heart, love isn't always so simple."
