'Bachelor Pad' eliminates Melissa Schreiber and William Holman

Bachelor Pad eliminated Melissa Schreiber and William Holman during Monday night's fourth episode of the second season of The Bachelor reality franchise spinoff in which  former bachelor and bachelorettes compete for a $250,000 cash prize.


Melissa, a former fifteenth-season The Bachelor bachelorette, was eliminated based on votes cast by Bachelor Pad's six remaining former The Bachelorette bachelors, while William, a former seventh-season The Bachelorette bachelor, was ousted based on voting by the competition's six remaining former The Bachelor bachelorettes.

"It's tough. I really didn't think it was going to be that tough, like to walk away.  It's not a game that I can play, and I think that they can see that and they knew I was the easy guy out," William said during the departure limo ride which followed his elimination.

"But it was still tough.  I love those guys -- even if I did get voted off."

Overcome by emotion, Melissa was unable to speak following her elimination.


"Thank you," she whispered to fellow bachelorette Ella Nolan before entering her own limo and sobbing as it drove away.

Bachelor Pad's fourth second-season episode began with former The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love star Jake Pavelka departing Bachelor Pad following his elimination at the competition's third vote.

Afterward, former sixth-season The Bachelorette bachelor Kasey Kahl bragged about the elimination of Jake, who had gotten engaged to Kasey's current girlfriend, Vienna Girardi, during the finale of his The Bachelor season.

"Jake's gone, the devil's gone.  It's freaking awesome!" he said.  "You're a jackass -- later bro... you know what, Vienna and I are going to win this game.  I'm the strongest player."

The next day, Vienna also boasted that she and Jake had already determined the competition's final eight contestants.


"A lot of people showed a lot of loyalty last night, but some people have gone against us.  And now our plan is to keep Kasey and I on, [Michael Stagliano] and [Holly Durst] on, [Graham Bunn] and [Michelle Money], and [Kurt DeWindt] and Ella," she explained.

"The rest of them, they're expendable," she added, referring to remaining contestants Melissa, William, Erica Rose, and Blake Julian.

The contestants then competed in kissing challenge in which the men and women were blindfolded and kissed by each member of the opposite sex.  After the kissing was completed, each contestant voted for the best kisser -- with the best male and female kissers each winning immunity from the next elimination vote and the right to go on a one-on-one date with another contestant who would also receive immunity.

While several contestants initially said they didn't want to participate in the kissing challenge, Michelle was the only who followed through with her stance.

"I made the decision that I wasn't going to do the kissing competition. I have a six-year-old daughter who means the world to me and I try to be a good example to her, so I don't want to participate in that," she explained.


Both kissing contests were "overwhelming" victories, according to Bachelor Pad host Chris Harrison, with Ella winning for the women and Blake winning for the men.

Ella opted to go the "safe" route and select Kurt, her game partner, to accompany her on her one-on-one date and receive immunity from the next elimination vote.

However, Blake -- who had been partnered with Melissa but also attracted to Holly, who was still unsure whether she still had any feelings for Michael, her former fiance -- caused more drama when he opted to take Holly on his date after leading both Melissa and Erica to believe he would take them.

Melissa did not handle Blake's announcement of his date decision well.

"That's f--ked up," she told the assembled contestants after Blake invited Holly to accompany him on his date. 


"Can you explain yourself? Because you made me 800 promises saying, 'I promise you, I pinky swear.'  I just want to know!" Melissa continued before storming off in tears.

Michael also wasn't happy with Blake's attempt to woo Holly, who he also still had feelings for, but was more upset Holly had opted to accept the date invitation.

"Holly kind of broke my heart when she said yes to a date with Blake," Michael vented.

"Blake's a little bit of a snake and a conniver.  Holly and I are not in a relationship here, but it makes my heart ache and there's a bit part of me that wants to rip his face off."

After she returned from her overnight date with Blake, Michael confronted Holly -- who Michael had opted to break-up with after deciding he couldn't overcome her prior brief decision to call off their engagement and end their relationship.


"Did you miss me?"  Michael asked.

"I did. A lot," Holly replied.

"Once you were gone for 24 hours and I got another taste to know what it's like to be without you... I don't ever want that again.  I missed you so much," Michael said.

"I've fallen back in love with you again.  Every single day Holly, and every minute, I'm just falling back in love with you. And I left you because I was afraid, and I'm not scared of that anymore. I love you, it doesn't matter if it's here or out there," he continued.

However Holly didn't immediately reciprocate Michael's proclamation.

"You said you didn't want to be back together," she said.


"Did anything happen?" Michael asked.

"Well... we kissed once," Holly admitted.

"You guys -- you're being serious? Geez," Michael replied deflatedly.

"I can't believe you kissed him.  Like I can't believe you would do that to me," he continued.  "How could you do that to me?"

"Michael... we're not back together Michael.  You broke up with me.  You walked away from me," Holly said.

"I'm talking about what's happened here, since we got here," Michael replied.


"That's what scares me.  Because you said you don't want anything to change here, you don't want to be back together until we're outside this house and there'd be no pressure," Holly said.  "I just needed to know for sure."

Afterward, Holly remained unsure where she and Michael stood.

"I love Michael.  I think there's going to be a part of me that will always love Michael.  But there's a huge part of me that Michael broke, and I don't know if that can be fixed," she said.

"This is so overwhelming.  All of this."

Prior to the elimination vote, Ella attempted to convince the other women to vote Kasey off while Kurt, her partner, tried to get the men to vote for Vienna.

However, things fell apart when Kasey picked up on the plan and successfully moved -- with an assist from Blake, who was tired of dealing with Melissa's drama -- the focus of the voting to William and Melissa instead.


"I was told, without a doubt, Kasey and Vienna should be going home.  All of the girls were voting for Kasey and all of the guys were voting for Vienna.  And then Kasey started talking to everybody," Ella said before the votes were revealed.
