One image shows Ariana Grande, who portrays Glinda in the Wicked and Wicked: For Good films, singing in a gold dress. She is surrounded by dancers and chorus members and a rainbow appears on a screen behind her.

Another photograph shows Cynthia Erivo, who portrays Elphaba, beaming beside a piano as Jeff Goldblum (the Wizard) looks on.

Still another shows Grande and Erivo embracing on the stage.

The special will span two hours, celebrating the upcoming release of Wicked: For Good Nov. 21 with appearances from the film's stars.

Michelle Yeoh, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang and Marissa Bode will also make an appearance alongside the director, Jon M. Chu.

The event will feature an "Emerald City-inspired set, complete with a 37-piece live orchestra," and offer sneak previews of the film, a press release states.

The musical fantasy films explore how Elphaba became known as the Wicked Witch of the West in the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz. The movies take their inspiration from Gregory Maguire's 1995 book and the following 2003 Broadway adaptation.
