Sunday night's episode featured American Idol host Ryan Seacrest announcing the Top 10 vote-getters from each group of 13 contestants who had performed in Hawaii on last week's two separate Disney Resort episodes.

After Ryan advanced a contestant to the next round, the singer performed a song for American Idol judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie in the hope of receiving enough votes to make the Top 12.

In the process, six contestants were eliminated: Dawson Wayne, a 21-year-old college student from San Antonio, TX; Elijah McCormick, a 21-year-old ophthalmologist technician from Raeford, NC, Elise Kristine, an 18-year-old college student from Issaquah, WA; Emma Busse, a 20-year-old performer from Vancouver, BC; Malik Heard, a 25-year-old retail associate from Dallas, TX; and Pjae, a 24-year-old branding designer from Lawton, OK.

Elise, Emma and Pjae had performed in the first group of 13 contestants in Hawaii, and Dawson, Elijah, and Malik sang for votes in the second group of the Disney Resort performances last week.
