Tamar Braxton

Tamar Braxton Brief Biography

Tamar Braxton-Herbert (born March 17, 1977), still commonly known as Tamar Braxton, is an American singer-songwriter, actress, dancer, and reality television personality. She is the youngest sister to R&B singing icon, Toni Braxton. Tamar rose to fame in 1989 as a founding member of the R&B group, The Braxtons. The Braxtons released their debut album So Many Ways in 1996 along with four singles: "So Many Ways", "Only Love", "The Boss" and "Slow Flow".

In 2000, Tamar began her solo singing career, when she released her first studio album through Dreamworks Records, entitled, Tamar. The album was a minor success, charting at #127 on The Billborad 200 Albums Chart, and selling 100,000 units in its first year of release. It spawned two singles, "Get None," and "If You Don't Wanna Love Me". The label was unsatisfied with the performance of her career, so she was dropped.
