Rings (known in Japan as The Ring: Rebirth) is a 2017 American supernatural psychological horror film directed by F. Javier Gutirrez, written by David Loucka, Jacob Aaron Estes and Akiva Goldsman and starring Matilda Lutz, Alex Roe, Johnny Galecki, Aimee Teegarden, Bonnie Morgan and Vincent D'Onofrio. It is the third installment in The Ring film series, following the previous installments The Ring (2002) and The Ring Two (2005), and is based on elements of Spiral by Kji Suzuki.
Principal photography began on March 23, 2015, in Atlanta. The film was released in the United States on February 3, 2017. The film has a 7% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and grossed $83million worldwide against its $25million budget.
