Resurrection is an upcoming American fantasy television drama series about what happens if a person thought to be dead suddenly comes back to life in the way they supposedly died. The series is based on the novel The Returned by Jason Mott and is being co-produced by Brad Pitt, Aaron Zelman, JoAnn Alfano, Jon Liebman, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Michele Fazekas, and Tara Butters and directed by Charles McDougall for ABC Studios. The pilot was officially ordered to series on May 10, 2013 and was placed on the schedule as a limited series to run during the 2013"14 television season. On August 4, 2013, it was announced that the series will premiere Sunday, March 9, 2014.
