Frank Darabont Brief Biography

Frank Darabont (born Darabont Ferenc; January 28, 1959) is a Hungarian-American film director, screenwriter, actor and producer who has been nominated for three Academy Awards and a Golden Globe Award. He has directed the films The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, and The Mist, all based on stories by Stephen King. In 2010 he developed, executive produced, and directed the pilot episode of the AMC's The Walking Dead. As of 2013, he is working on his new television series, Mob City.
