Barry Levinson Brief Biography

Barry Levinson (born April 6, 1942) is an American screenwriter, Academy Award winning film director, actor, and producer of film and television. His most notable films include Diner, The Natural, Good Morning Vietnam, Rain Man, and Bugsy. Levinson's new 2013 film Black Mass is currently in production and is based on "Whitey" Bulger, the Boston crime boss and inspiration for Jack Nicholson's fictional mobster in The Departed.
