Kendall Long and Joe Amabile met on met on Season 5 of Bachelor in Paradise when it was filmed in Mexico in June 2018.
The couple hit it off immediately, and everything seemed to be going well until Kendall suddenly decided break-up with Joe on the season's after he admitted he was falling in love with her and could picture them getting engaged.
Kendall found herself making a series of excuses on the beach as to why they wouldn't work together, and Joe called her out for simply being unaware of her feelings for him or not reciprocating them at all.
Joe therefore left Paradise confused and heartbroken, while Kendall felt there was more she could have said and the pair had unfinished business.
When the season's reunion show aired in September 2018, Kendall and Joe revealed they had worked on their issues post-filming and resumed their romance again.
Joe was then invited to compete on Season 27 of Dancing with the Stars on Fall 2018, which allowed him to live in Los Angeles with Kendall while participating in the competition.
The couple have continued to date since the Dancing with the Stars' season ended in November 2018. One year later, she told Us Weekly an engagement is not something she and Joe are afraid of.
