Becca Kufrin and Garrett Yrigoyen decided to say goodbye to both and start a new life together in California after doing some traveling together and exploring both Becca's Minneapolis, MN hometown and Garrett's Reno, NV hometown.

According to Becca, it was "a change."

In June 2020, Becca revealed the future of her relationship with Garrett was now uncertain given they have dramatically differing views on political and social issues.

"I want to say to our listeners out there -- because I'm sure many will hear this back and wonder and ask and have opinions -- for those who are curious about my relationship with Garrett at this point, all I can say right now is I don't know," she said on her Bachelor Happy Hour podcast she co-hosts with The Bachelorette Season 13 star Rachel Lindsay.

"I can't give anything more than that. It's something that we are trying to work through and discuss and do work on at home at this time and that's where the work will remain and that's really the best I can give you at this point."

However, after months of speculation and reports that the couple had split, Becca finally confirmed in September that she and Garrett had called off their engagement and ended their relationship.

"I [want] to address what's been going on with me and my relationship over these past couple of months," Becca began in the last 10 minutes of the September 1 episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast she co-hosts with former The Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay.

"Although this is very difficult and a quite personal matter for me, I do truly value and care for all of our listeners and the questions and concerns you've had these past few weeks. So I just want to share with you directly what I've been going through."

"I want to preface this by saying I am sitting in my apartment alone, recording this by myself. I didn't think it was fitting to bring anyone else into this conversation when my relationship was only made up of two people, which was obviously myself and Garrett."

She continued, "I know there has been so much speculation and curiosity out there regarding where he and I stand. I've seen countless headlines and stories ran by news outlets and countless Instagram posts confirming something that, to be honest, I don't think was anyone else's place or right to do."

"No one has any right to confirm this unless it comes directly from the source and from the horse's mouth, which is, in this moment, me."

Becca's voice then changed and it sounded like she was starting to cry.

"So I don't think it's going to come as a shock to anyone, but Garrett and I have decided to end our engagement," Becca shared.

"If you followed us on Instagram for the past couple months, you'll have noticed I spent a lot of time in Minnesota. I was with family and close friends, and he was out on the West Coast doing the same. We were really just trying to take the time and gain some clarity as to what was the next best step in our lives, whether that was together or as individuals."

Becca said she and Garrett slowly arrived at the decision to break up "after many conversations."

"It wasn't something that we just arrived at one night. It wasn't based solely off of one Instagram post or somebody else's opinions or comments. There's much more to it," Becca explained.

Garrett quickly moved on and began a relationship with Alex Farrar, a blonde and petite yoga instructor and Reiki practitioner only a couple of months after Becca had confirmed The Bachelorette couple's split.

Becca decided to participate in the 2021 season of Bachelor in Paradise, where she met Thomas Jacobs, who had appeared on Katie Thurston's season of The Bachelorette earlier that year.

While Becca got cold feet about her relationship with Thomas and dumped him on Bachelor in Paradise's seventh-season finale, the pair quickly reconciled after filming ended.

And in May 2022, Becca announced she had proposed to Thomas and he had accepted.

"In the ultimate plot twist...HE SAID YES!" Becca captioned an Instagram slideshow of photos featuring Thomas' new gold ring, the couple popping champagne together, and the lovebirds' two dogs.

Becca didn't specify when exactly she and Thomas got engaged, as she continued in her post, "We've been keeping this secret just between us and close family & friends for a while but we're so excited to shout it from the rooftops!"

"I finally found my chauffeur for life and the one who makes my heart smile every single day," she added.

"I can't wait to do it all with you Tommy, thanks for making me the happiest gal alive. I love you to the moon & back."

In April 2023, Becca and Thomas announced Becca was pregnant with their first child, a baby boy.

In October 2023, Becca and Thomas revealed they had gotten married.
