Simone Bailly Biography

Simone Bailly is a Canadian actress best known for her television roles in Battlestar Galactica, The L Word, Smallville, Stargate SG-1, and Da Vinci's Inquest, and in the video game Need for Speed: Most Wanted. She has also appeared in feature films, made-for-TV movies, and commercials.

Bailly began her career in theater and has since focused on TV and film.

Television

Simone Bailly played Navy Lieutenant Shannon James on the Season 7 finale of NCIS: Los Angeles, entitled "Talion"

Simone Bailly played Brandy Jo Hawkins, a notorious sniper on Limitless (CBS).

Bailly is most often recognized from her recurring role on Showtime's The L Word. She appeared as Grace, the intern for OurChart who develops a love relationship with the transgender character Max Sweeney in the fourth and fifth seasons.

Bailly played Shona in the Battlestar Galactica 2-Part Series finale ("Daybreak").

On Smallville, Bailly guest-starred as Star, the potion peddler in the Valentine's Day episode, "Crimson" (season six).

Bailly had a recurring role as Ka'lel on three seasons of Stargate SG-1. On Stargate she met actor/director Peter DeLuise, who later co-starred with Bailly in the comedic film noir short "The Bar", which debuted on the film festival circuit and is now on funnyordie.com.

Gamers may also recognize Bailly as the sexy cop in the EA video game Need for Speed: Most Wanted.

As Constable Jan Ferris on Da Vinci's City Hall aka Da Vinci's Inquest, Bailly played the leader of a gang of renegade cops. In preparation for the role, Bailly rode with police officers to some of the toughest areas in the city, witnessing first-hand the many dangers and realities of being a cop. She also had additional tactical training and learned how to handle firearms and other devices that go with the job. On Da Vinci's Inquest, her performance so won over the writers a one-episode part evolved into a multiple-episode arc and finally a regular role.
