Shelly Altman Biography

}} Michelle "Shelly" Altman is an American soap opera writer. She has been the associate head writer of numerous American daytime soap operas, including Another World, General Hospital and One Life to Live. She served as co-head writer of The Young and the Restless alongside Jean Passanante from November 4, 2013 to March 18, 2015. In July 2015, Altman and Passanante returned to General Hospital as its co-head writers, replacing Ron Carlivati.

She was associate head writer of Another World for 1995-1999.

She was associate head writer of One Life to Live for 1999 through February 22, 2008 and May 2, 2008 through September 20, 2011.

She was associate head writer for General Hospital from August 10, 2011 to January 6, 2012 and from February 21, 2012 through February 28, 2013 and co-head writer for January 9 through February 20, 2012 and from October 7, 2015 to present.

She was co-head writer of The Young and the Restless from March 18 through November 1, 2013, and head writer for November 4, 2013 through March 18, 2015 and breakdown writer for March 23, 2015 through October 21, 2015.
