Ross Palombo Biography

Ross Palombo (born 3 March 1969, Chicago, United States) is an American journalist and television news anchor.

Early life and education

Palombo was born in Chicago, Illinois and was raised in the Northwest suburbs. He attended high school in Hinsdale, Park Ridge, and Elk Grove Village and went on to graduate from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Journalism degree in 1991.

Career

Palombo began his career as a producer for KRNV (TV) (1992) in Reno, WSVN (1993) in Miami, and WDIV (1994) in Detroit. He then began reporting at WKJG-TV (1995) in Fort Wayne, IN, WHBQ-TV (1995-7) in Memphis, KNXV (1997"2000) in Phoenix, KRON (2000"2005) in San Francisco, KCBS-TV (2006) in Los Angeles, and KGO-TV (2007) in San Francisco. He turned to anchoring at KENS (2007-8) in San Antonio, Texas, and was then hired by CBS News (2008-9) as an anchor and correspondent. At CBS Palombo anchored the weekly show "365", and was the primary fill-in for the CBS Morning News, and CBS News Up to the Minute. Palombo also filled in as a correspondent on the CBS Evening News: Weekend Edition. He currently works as a reporter and anchor at WPLG-TV.

Palombo lives in Miami, FL.
