Rico Rodriguez Biography

Rico Rodriguez (born July 31, 1998) is an American actor, known for his role of Manny Delgado in the ABC sitcom Modern Family, for which he and his co-stars have won a Screen Actor's Guild Award for Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series three times.

Life and career

Rodriguez was born in College Station, Texas, the son of Diane and Roy Rodriguez, who own a business. His siblings are brothers Ray, Roy Jr, and sister, actress Raini Rodriguez. Similar to his character in Modern Family, he is an uncle to five nieces. He is of Mexican descent. Rodriguez had not considered becoming an actor until around 2006, when his sister began acting. "I thought I'd be a NASCAR chef going to the moon", he said regarding this in an interview in 2010.

Rodriguez is currently playing the role of Manny Delgado in the ABC sitcom Modern Family.

Rodriguez has won the Screen Actor's Guild Award for Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series three times, along with the rest of the show's cast.
