Kate Stoltzfus Biography

Kate Stoltzfus, now known as Kate Stoltz, is an American model, designer, humanitarian and television personality based in New York City, also known as the star of the reality show Breaking Amish.

Early life

Born on September 21, 1991 in Myerstown, Pennsylvania, on a farm to an Amish family, Stoltzfus spent the first twenty years in her community before moving to Boca Raton, Florida.

Modeling work

Stoltzfus moved to New York City to pursue a career in modeling and immediately found work. She worked for Union Bay, Spiegal, Bella, and Gypsy Sisters. She posed for Maxim magazine in July 2013.Kate Stoltzfus later changed her name to Kate Stoltz to help her modeling career

Television work

Stoltzfus starred in a reality TV show called Breaking Amish and has since participated in two follow-up shows: Breaking Amish: Brave New World and Return to Amish the latter of which premiered on 1 June 2014 on the TLC network.

Fashion work

Stoltzfus began her own fashion line in 2014, using the sewing skills she acquired while growing up in the Amish community. The "Kate Stoltz" line focuses mostly on women's dresses, but is expanding to include pillows and quilts. She won the 2014 Demiurge Award for her work and art as an emerging designer in New York City.

Activism

She is the spokesperson for the nonprofit organization Developing Faces, a mission that visits Guatemala every year to help people with facial abnormalities. She also volunteers at Food Bank and MCC, donating quilts and time to people in need.
