John Cena kicked off Smackdown Live Tuesday by addressing his loss to Shinsuke Nakamura before trading verbal barbs with Mr. Money in the Bank, Baron Corbin.

Corbin made his presence known to Cena by slamming the 16-time champion for shaking Nakamura's hand following their bout last week and for sticking his nose in Corbin's business. The Lone Wolf was referring to how Cena attacked him after he ambushed Nakamura by tossing him onto a table.

"I am the future, and I have no problem making you the past," Corbin said to Cena, who replied, "You a skinny, fat, loud-mouthed overrated dumpster fire," to the crowd's delight as they began chanting "dumpster fire" throughout the segment.

Cena then challenged Corbin to meet him in the ring, however, Corbin refused noting that his Money in the Bank briefcase meant that his only concern is the WWE Championship. Intrigued by the potential match, Smackdown general manager Daniel Bryan announced that Cena would be facing Corbin at SummerSlam on Aug. 20.

Smackdown Live also featured the renewal of Randy Orton and WWE Champion Jinder Mahal's longstanding rivalry when they met in a non-title grudge match.

Mahal was notably without his henchmen The Singh Brothers who are still recovering from The Modern-Day Maharaja's match against Orton inside The Punjabi Prison from Battleground.

With a fair fight now able to take place, The Viper defeated Mahal after he reversed The Khallas into an RKO for the three count. Following the win, Orton was ambushed by his SummerSlam opponent Rusev who kicked Orton in the face as walked to the back.

Other moments from Smackdown Live included The Usos defeating Sami Zayn and Tye Dillinger before they escaped a surprise attack from The New Day; Charlotte Flair defeating Lana; Ms. Money in the Bank Carmella defeating Smackdown Women's Champion Naomi with help from her returning sidepiece James Ellsworth; and Smackdown commissioner Shane McMahon explaining to United States Champion AJ Styles and Kevin Owens his rules of engagement for their SummerSlam bout before a shoving match ensued.
