Daniel Bryan and The Miz were put in charge of forming the Smackdown men's Survivor Series team which will go on to face Raw on Nov. 18.

Bryan and The Miz, two of the biggest rivals in WWE, were named co-team captains Tuesday by Smackdown commissioner Shane McMahon and general manager Paige.

The duo will have to learn to co-exist together for Survivor Series, WWE's annual November event where Raw and Smackdown collide in a series of matches for brand supremacy.

Bryan and The Miz first agreed on adding McMahon to the five-man team before deciding to hold matches between superstars that they both picked in order to determine who would make the cut.

Rey Mysterio, chosen by Bryan, earned his place on the team when he defeated Andrade 'Cien' Almas. As Mysterio celebrated his victory in the ring, however, Randy Orton arrived and quickly delivered an RKO to the high-flyer.

Next up was The Miz's pick of Samoa Joe vs. Bryan's choice of Jeff Hardy with both team captains watching the bout from the announcer's table. Bryan wasn't crazy about Joe's inclusion after The Samoan Submission Machine had attacked him following Bryan's match against WWE Champion AJ Styles last week.

Joe won against Hardy after he blocked the risk-taker's Swanton Bomb and quickly applied his Coquina Clutch, which forced Hardy to tap out.

Joe, after the match, continued to taunt Bryan at ringside which sent The Yes Man into a rage. Bryan attacked Joe and locked him into his Yes Lock before The Miz broke things up. Bryan then began struck his bitter enemy before tossing McMahon over his shoulder, who had also arrived to calm things down. McMahon and The Miz looked shocked as Bryan exited to the back.
