WWE is resurrecting former legendary professional wrestling event Starrcade and bringing it to Greensboro, N.C. for the first time in 30 years.

The company is using the Starrcade name to promote an upcoming live show that is taking place on Thanksgiving weekend on Nov. 25 at the Greensboro Coliseum.

Smackdown Live Superstars will be featured during the event with WWE already announcing which matches are set to take place.

Starrcade will feature Jinder Mahal taking on Shinsuke Nakamura inside a steel cage for the WWE Championship, Natalya facing Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women's Championship also inside a steel cage and a Triple Threat Match for the United States Championship between AJ Styles, Baron Corbin and Rusev.

Other bouts include a Texas Tornado Match for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships between The New Day and The Usos, Kevin Owens taking on his longtime rival Sami Zayn, Bobby Roode meeting Dolph Ziggler and Breezango facing Aiden English and Mike Kanellis with Maria Kanellis.

Set to make appearances at Starrcade include North Carolina natives The Hardy Boyz from Raw and Starrcade legends such as Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat and The Rock 'n' Roll Express.

Tickets go on sale starting Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. ET through Ticketmaster.

Starrcade, the brain-child of the late and legendary Dusty Rhodes, was the premiere event of the National Wrestling Alliance and then later WCW.

The first Starrcade which took place in Greensboro in 1983, saw Ric Flair defeat Harley Race to win his second World Championship.

Rhodes' son, current Ring of Honor World Champion Cody, tweeted WWE agent Michael Hayes about adding his brother Goldust to Starrcade.

"If you're afraid an event won't sell cuz' the holiday and want one of my Dad's events...at least book Goldy.." he wrote to which Hayes replied by inviting him to the event.

"So Cody, UR right we should have Goldy on the show, by the way, what R U doing that night??? Wanna team with UR Brother?" Hayes wrote.

Matt Hardy of The Hardy Boyz also extended an invitation on Twitter to current Ring of Honor Tag World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks to join Starrcade.
