Vanessa Grimaldi is apparently devastated she probably won't be invited to Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon's wedding -- and she apparently thinks it's because of her ex-fiance Nick Viall.

During an episode of the "Help! I Suck at Dating With Dean, Vanessa and Jared" podcast released on Sunday, Vanessa sobbed when she learned it's not likely she'll be receiving an invitation to Jared's August 2019 wedding.

When Jared discussed how Bachelor Nation's Dean Unglert, Tanner Tolbert and Nick will be serving as groomsmen, Vanessa asked, "Does this mean I'm not invited to the wedding?"

Jared, 30, then replied to the Canadian special education teacher with a laugh, "Can we all just settle down for a minute?"

"Wait, no -- does it?!" Vanessa said in surprise.

"We haven't even -- we're going through the guest list right now. We're just figuring everything out," Jared said, dodging the question.

Vanessa took the news lightly at first, laughing about how she was "heartbroken" and had postponed a vacation in August to work around the wedding date.

"Well, definitely don't schedule your vacation around me. I would never want that for a wedding regardless," Jared noted.

Vanessa later stepped away to gather her thoughts on the subject, prompting Dean to eventually revisit the awkward conversation with Vanessa and Jared.

And that's when Vanessa expressed her true feelings on potentially being left off the guest list.

"How are you doing, Vanessa?" Dean asked.

"I'm just sad," Vanessa said in tears. "Like I texted you, I didn't want you to think I was mad. I totally get it."

Jared assured Vanessa that she had nothing to apologize for or try to explain.

"I wanted to talk to you off-air about it, because it's obviously been on my mind for quite some time as well in trying to handle the situation as best as possible for everybody involved," Jared explained.

"But honestly, most importantly -- for Ashley and I -- we just want to make everybody happy but also make sure that, you know, that day is most importantly about us. So I think for a while, it's been weighing on me, trying to figure out the right words and how to say things."

Jared pleaded with Vanessa to talk more about the situation off the air, but she continued on.

"I mean I assume, I mean, I understand and I guess, I don't want to make an ass of myself by making an assumption, but I assume it's because of a particular person and I get that, and like I said, I'm not mad. I'm not anything; I'm mostly just sad," Vanessa sobbed, trying to catch her breath.

Vanessa was seemingly pointing fingers at Nick, who starred on The Bachelor's 21st season. (Nick and Vanessa got engaged during the March 2017 finale of the show but split in August of that year).

"I would never want to make you sad, Vanessa, obviously," Jared noted.

"I'm just sad because it's not like a birthday that happens once a year. It's like, I vouched for you guys, and I know he has too, and I just, I don't want this to become about me," Vanessa continued.

"Of course I want you and Ashley to have the most amazing and spectacular wedding day with zero stress. I want the absolute, most amazing wedding day for you guys, and if that means me watching from afar, then, like, that's what it is."

Vanessa reiterated how she didn't want Jared and Ashley's special day to become about her.

"I'm just saying, like, of course I would have loved to have witnessed the love that you guys have for each other and be there to see it official, but I guess I don't need to be a part of the wedding day to see the love you guys do have for each other," Vanessa concluded.

Jared appreciated Vanessa's remark but reiterated how he didn't feel comfortable talking about this on the podcast.

"I wanted to talk to you about it. We haven't even done the invitations yet or sent anything out, except for 'Save the Dates,' which didn't go out to everybody," Jared insisted.

"We haven't finalized the guest list. I haven't even talked to Nick about this. It's honestly just been weighing on Ashley and I, and we've been putting it off because it's an uncomfortable conversation to have with everybody."

Jared revealed his wedding invitations will be going out in a month or a month-and-a-half. Jared also noted his guest list cannot exceed 180 people.

"I would never want to make you sad, and I'm not even saying who's coming or not coming right now," Jared told Vanessa.

"I just truly don't know. I haven't put out in the universe that you're not coming, Vanessa. We're just trying to put our ducks in order and figure out what's best for everybody involved. I don't want this to become a Nick thing... He has never said anything about it."

Jared noted it took a long time for things to get awkward given Dean and himself are friends with both Vanessa and Nick.

"I was just more shocked [than anything]," Vanessa shared, adding, "I didn't want to make things awkward."

Jared assured Vanessa he truly didn't know what to do and simply tried to ignore the topic to avoid making "false promises." Vanessa seemed to understand Jared's explanation and said she'd be okay with missing the wedding if it made things easier for the engaged couple.

E! News had obtained an advanced clip from the podcast and posted it online Saturday, allowing Nick to hear Vanessa's point of view.

Nick, 38, therefore wrote in the comments section of the E! News article that he had nothing to do with Jared and Ashley's apparent decision not to invite Vanessa to their wedding.

"Huh?? That person isn't me," Nick wrote on Saturday. "Ashley and Jared's wedding is Ashley and Jared days. Looking forward to enjoying the day with them and everyone they want to celebrate it with."

Ashley and Jared announced their engagement in June 2018 after three years of a confusing and flirtatious friendship.
