The Real Housewives of New Jersey will reportedly be losing Danielle Staub.

Staub is not expected to return for The Real Housewives of New Jersey's third season, according to multiple reports.

The Real Housewives star is "likely leaving the show after the end of Season 2," which will air its finale on Bravo next week, People reported Monday.

"Danielle was told that she would not be returning for a third season," an insider told Life & Style in an earlier Monday report.  "[It] came as a complete shock, and she thought she was definitely going to return."

Bravo declined to comment on the reports and noted it has yet to formally announce The Real Housewives of New Jersey's third-season renewal.

However Staub -- who has been attempting to land a deal for her own spinoff series, according to Life & Style -- issued a statement in which she acknowledged the reports but did not specifically address whether she expects to appear on The Real Housewives of New Jersey's third season.

"Actually, I'm not even thinking about Season 3 right now as I am considering many incredible options that have been presented to me," she said in a statement posted on Twitter late Monday afternoon.

"Right now I just want to let fans know that we have a fantastic finale coming up next week and explosive reunion shows on August 30 and September 6. Don't worry next year, I'll still be the one you either love to hate or hate to love."
