The latest episode's mystery gentleman, Dr. Buck Parker, proposed marriage to contestant Nicole Kulovany, a 33-year-old former Ms. New York from Illinois who currently resides in New York, NY.

The latest episode of ABC's new reality dating series from The Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss featured 10 women -- selected by a panel of matchmakers -- attempting to win the heart of a man whose identity was initially concealed from them by participating in four pageant-style rounds of competition.

Buck, a surgeon, revealed he was in a relationship for two-and-a-half years but couldn't pull the trigger on an engagement. Now, however, he's ready for a "crazy, unique adventure" to find "the right one" and settle down with her.

The women were then brought out onstage one by one.

Nicole was welcomed onstage first, and then she was followed by Simone Miller, a 35-year-old hospitality worker from Queens, NY; Aesha Waks, a 40-year-old nutritionist from Queens, NY; Amanda Hendricks, a 34-year-old personal shopper from Dallas, TX; and Alyson Lyden, a 36-year-old business developer from Las Vegas, NV.

Next up was Kym Pesola, a 35-year-old communications specialist from San Francisco, CA; Katie Hope, a 32-year-old dance teacher from Southern California; Reola Whitfield, a 37-year-old mortuary owner from Inglewood, CA; Katie Bell, a 30-year-old software consultant from Nashville, TN; and Stacie Todd, a 28-year-old deejay from Australia, who currently resides in California.

After brief introductions, Buck decided he'd like to see more of the following women: Nicole, Simone, Stacie, Katie H., Reola, Aesha, and Amanda.

It then became time for the best of beachwear or swimwear round. While some girls felt comfortable enough to rock bikinis, several women wore one-piece suits.

A couple highlights of this round turned out to be Aesha rapping Buck a little song to catch his attention, and Nicole, who got teary-eyed at the thought her soul mate was in the same room. Nicole said she often gets judged on her appearance but she's sweet and just wants to be loved.

Once this round concluded, Buck advanced the women he'd like to get to know better: Nicole, Katie, Stacie, and Aesha.

In the next stage of competition, Buck was allowed to ask each woman a serious question about topics that matter to him, such as religion, politics, sex, or past relationships -- and each woman was given 30 seconds to answer.

Katie admitted she had made "plenty of mistakes" in her last relationship but she'd like to talk about that in private with him over a glass of wine.

Buck asked Aesha if she's in financial debt, and she assured him that she's never been in debt in her life.

Buck asked Nicole how important sex is in a relationship for her on a scale from 1-10, and she answered "12." Nicole admitted she'd like to be intimate every day and has a drawer of lingerie waiting for her husband.

And Stacie insisted she's ready to settle down despite her cool job, as she has already traveled the world and had a lot of fun.

Following the interview round, Buck wanted to keep seeing Katie, Nicole, and Stacie.

The three girls then got to meet Buck's sister, who was afforded the opportunity to ask each woman a question since she could become her future sister-in-law.

Stacie revealed to the wedding planner that her dream wedding would be laid-back on a beach and she'd be a chill bride.

When asked how she'd react to Buck's entire family inviting themselves over her house for dinner, Nicole said she would love it and a big family gathering would be great.

And Buck's sister asked Katie which cause she would donate her time to if she could stop working. Since Katie's mother is a cancer survivor, the contestant named the Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Towards the end of the show, Buck said he could sincerely see himself proposing to Nicole or Katie.

As a result, the two women got to meet Buck face-to-face. The girls had big smiles on their faces when he walked out, so they seemed very pleased with his appearance.

Nicole and Katie were then instructed to explain to Buck how far they'd be willing to go for love and for him.

Nicole's speech got off to a slow start, as she was admittedly nervous and shy. She called Buck "handsome" and then said she felt a connection right away, even with his sister. Nicole called Buck an "amazing man" and noted it was an honor to try to date him.

Katie said when she closed her eyes, she could picture a future of "lots of wine" and a trip to Lake Tahoe. She's looking for "a heavenly relationship."

Katie said she has an incredibly loving family and is in the middle of two sisters. One thing she needed Buck to know, however, is she has a 10-year-old white Pomeranian, who would probably fit really well with him and his dogs.

Although Katie's plea clearly had an edge on Nicole's final speech, Buck got down on one knee and proposed marriage to Nicole. Nicole was shocked and yelled, "Oh my God!" She was in disbelief and accepted the Neil Lane diamond ring.

Nicole and Buck shared a kiss onstage, and then they celebrated their engagement with his sister.

Former The Bachelor star and NFL quarterback Jesse Palmer serves as host of The Proposal.
