The Bachelorette host Jesse Palmer has revealed there was a learning curve for Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia as they dated the same group of men, but they handled it on their own.

"I think they deserve a ton of credit, because they took control," Jesse told E! News.

Gabby and Rachel, who already wrapped production, will have 32 men to choose from between the ages of 23 to 36 years old when The Bachelorette's nineteenth season premieres Monday, July 11 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.

"They sometimes made up their own rules," Jesse revealed.

"They entered uncharted waters at times, but I think the biggest thing about Rachel and Gabby is they have tremendous support for one another."

When Gabby and Rachel appeared on Good Morning America in March, they were asked about the show's format, which has yet to be described by the network.

"Everyone keeps asking," Gabby said on GMA.

"We just got thrown in. But I have faith and a lot of trust and I love Rachel to death and I know we're gonna have each other's backs the whole way, so there's really not a doubt in my mind that it's gonna end up well."

After getting strung along and ultimately rejected by The Bachelor's Season 26 star Clayton Echard in a group dumping session, Rachel and Gabby -- who had become good friends during the season -- planned to support and encourage each other through The Bachelorette process.

The Bachelor creator and executive producer Mike Fleiss assured fans in April that Rachel and Gabby were not pitted against each other when filming the show.

"No drama...Just two friends helping each other find true love!" Mike tweeted at the time.

Season 21 The Bachelor star Nick Viall believes he received the inside scoop from production.

Nick recently shared on his "The Viall Files" podcast how The Bachelorette will allegedly have a Bachelor in Paradise "feel to it."

"It is on a cruise ship -- part of it," Nick claimed. "I asked people because it sounds like the producers think it's gonna be really interesting, but very different."

But filming two ladies' respective journeys to find love was apparently challenging.

"They said it was hell to film because they decided to have two Bachelorettes, like, last second. So the scheduling was for one Bachelorette. They had to jam it all in," Nick alleged.

"And then I asked, I'm like, 'What if it goes really well, like, this is a hit?'... The people I talk to, they hope they never do it again. Just because of the logistics. I think, a cruise ship probably was the challenge."

Nick insisted the women were not at odds while filming the season, revealing, "My understanding is early on, they're very much going to be dividing up the men, like, each will basically [have] their respective season."

"It would be like if two friends go to a bar and after the first night, they just decide -- or go to a party and be like, 'Who are you into?' And they just kind of just decide," he elaborated.

When announcing the women's suitors in a live TikTok event earlier this month, Jesse teased how this The Bachelorette season will be "unlike anything" viewers have "ever seen before."

"This is a totally different circumstance and setup and environment that both Rachel and Gabby will have to navigate -- dating these men and having to lean on each other. They are going to rely on their friendship to assist each other along the way," Jesse said.

ABC featured two Bachelorettes in one season only once before, but Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson were forced to face off against each other for a solo The Bachelorette role on Night 1 of the show back when Season 11 aired in 2016.

The men voted for the woman they'd like to continue dating, and Kaitlyn ended up starring on the season with more votes. Britt, who had already competed against Kaitlyn for Chris Soules' heart on The Bachelor's nineteenth edition, was sent home immediately.
