'The Bachelor' star Colton Underwood reveals what he's looking for in a woman

The Bachelor star Colton Underwood has been accused of not knowing what he wants in a woman due to his limited dating experience, but he apparently has a good idea of what qualities his ideal partner will have.

"I am open to anything and everything. As far as personality, I want somebody who's edgy, but I also want somebody who is fun, light-hearted, spontaneous, can crack a good joke and take a good joke," Colton told Extra.

The 26-year-old charity founder and former professional football player will be starring on The Bachelor's upcoming 23rd season, which premieres with a three-hour event on Monday, January 7 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.

When asked whether he felt pressure to lose his virginity while filming the show, Colton said, "No, because I've stayed true to who I am for 26 years."

Colton elaborated, "I'm not waiting for marriage; I'm waiting for the right person, the right moment, the right heart."

Colton also insisted to Extra he had signed on to do The Bachelor to begin with in order to find a wife.

"That is why I'm doing it, yes," he noted.

Colton will have 30 bachelorettes to choose from when his season begins in 2019.

Colton will definitely have his share of intelligent, feisty and light-hearted women, but drama will naturally ensue once these bachelorettes determine they have someone special to fight for.

Colton's lineup of ladies will include two Miss USA beauty pageant queens, a dog rescuer, a realtor, a speech pathologist, a dental hygienist, an NBA dancer, a deejay, a phlebotomist and so much more.

And per usual, some The Bachelor bachelorettes were given quirky occupations such as "sloth," "Cinderella," and "never been kissed." Colton will have to get to the bottom of what these women are really about, and he will certainly have his hands full.

By the end of Night 1, only 23 women will remain, and only one lucky bachelorette will ultimately receive Colton's final rose.
