It was an emotional and confusing farewell for one of the two bachelorettes sent packing by Brad Womack during The Bachelor's fifth eleventh-season episode last night on ABC.

Hillary, a 27-year-old registered nurse from Philadelphia, PA, felt she was receiving mixed signals from the 34-year-old Austin, TX bar owner and was crushed to learn The Bachelor star thought their chemistry as friends would never be anything more.

"I just feel like I got my heart broken, and it sucks to be known as the friend," said a sobbing Hillary following her ouster.

In addition, Kristy, a 29-year-old acupuncturist from Chicago, IL, also saw her The Bachelor journey come to an end.

The Bachelor 11's fifth episode began with host Chris Harrison informing the six remaining suitors that Brad would be going on two one-on-one dates as well as a group date with the other four women, with no roses being awarded during any of them.  Chris also informed the girls that Brad would be cutting two of them at the next Rose Ceremony, and the remaining four would receive a hometown visit from "the sexiest Bachelor yet."

Bettina, a 27-year-old realtor from Washington, DC who had previously revealed to Brad that she's divorced, would be going on the first one-on-one date, which was described as a "romantic evening on the water."  Bettina was "so excited" and commented how she was "confident" in the physical chemistry she has with Brad and was hoping it would develop into something more.

DeAnna, a 25-year-old realtor from Neunan, GA, said Bettina is "all about the mystery," a characteristic that was "working for her" up until this point in the competition.

As the date began and Brad and Bettina had dinner, he thought she had "all the potential in the world to be that girl I'm looking for."  Hoping that Bettina would "relax" and be herself, Brad was also looking for his first kiss from her.  However Bettina acknowledged she's been playing "hard to get" and was hoping to open up to Brad soon.  She thanked him for being extremely patient with her and said it's been making the situation a lot easier.

Brad couldn't resist and then asked Bettina if she has dated anyone since her divorce.  Bettina said she's dated a "little bit" and is "not proud" about her divorce, describing it as "failing at a relationship."  Still, Bettina assured Brad she wants to be "completely in love" with the next guy she falls for, and said Brad fit the bill.

Back at the house, Sheena, a 23-year-old Internet marketing executive from Walnut Creek, CA, learned she'd be accompanying Brad on the second one-on-one date.  Jenni, a 27-year-old Phoenix Suns cheerleader from Wichita, KS; DeAnna; Hillary; and Kristy would be going on the group date.  As the girls talked trash about Bettina and wondered about her motives for appearing on The Bachelor, Hillary said she would question Brad's judgement if he decided to keep Bettina is the competition.

With dinner in the books, Brad and Bettina enjoyed a gondola ride and the two shared a quick kiss, however it was less passionate than many of the other kisses he's received from other bachelorettes.  Brad patted himself on the back for not being too aggressive with Bettina and instead deciding to be patient.

"All I want is to meet somebody," began Brad to Bettina, "and we both just kind of know without saying it.  It works out, we're happy, done deal, best friends, true love... Done."

"That is exactly what I want!" answered Bettina.

"When I think about us together, I feel really, really good about things," she explained once the gondola ride was over.  "I know it's moving slow, but it's definitely moving.  I feel it, and I trust that, so I have to show him more.  I know I have to show him more."

The next day it was time for the group date, which was a pool party at Brad's Malibu mansion.  He was excited to get to know the girls in a comfortable setting.  Jenni, DeAnna and Hillary went swimming, Kristy wouldn't go in the pool.  Jenni, DeAnna and Hillary rode the slip-and-slide, Kristy looked extremely disinterested.  She was described as a "stick in the mud" by DeAnna.

The pool party also marked the first time Hillary saw Brad without a shirt on, and to say she was impressed would be an understatement.

"I would let him ravage me any time," commented Hillary before launching into an expletive-laced description of the sexual things she wants done to her.  "I'm trying to think of something G-rated."  Hillary then stole Brad away for some one-on-one time in the pool, and she point blank asked how he feels about her.

"I think you are just an amazing person all the way around.  You're beautiful, sweet, kind sincere... I have more fun with you than I've had with a woman in a long time," said Brad to Hillary before privately questioning if there's romantic feelings between the two.  He tried to convey that message to Hillary.  "I wonder if it's too good of friends... You know?"

"I can just tell by his eyes and the way he looks at me that he feels that there's a chemistry between us," gushed Hillary, totally oblivious to what Brad was trying to tell her.  "It makes me feel good about myself that he can be that comfortable around me."

DeAnna than spent some one-on-one time with Brad, and both were bummed that they didn't retreat out of sight of the other girls since it meant now they couldn't kiss.

"I'm so attracted to her," said Brad.  "It's driving me crazy not to be able to kiss her and show her how I feel about her."

Brad wouldn't make the same mistake twice and made sure that when he stole Jenni for some one-on-one time, they retreated to a secluded hammock away from prying eyes.  Hillary was "frustrated" that Brad was itching to kiss (or actually kissing) all the other women except her.

"I want to know how he feels but I know he can't express his feeling right now because he's so jumbled up in his head with everybody else," said Hillary.  "I just want it to be me.  I really do.  I'm falling for this guy.  He could be my best friend, but he could also be my lover, my husband... I can give that 110%.  Jenni's going off making out with him, and I'm wondering what the f**k is going on!?  Why is that not me!?"

That night Sheena accompanied Brad on a one-on-one date that he said would be "full of surprises."  Brad was excited about his date with Sheena because his identical twin brother Chad "loved her" when the two met.  The date began with Sheena having six gowns to choose from for the date.  As she slowly walked down the staircase to meet her prince once she was dressed, Sheena slipped and fell down the last few steps.  She was "embarrassed," "mortified," and hoping she "didn't blow it."

The two enjoyed dinner among a see of balloons and he gave here a pair of diamond earrings as a gift, and she described her emotions as both "anxious and excited."

"I definitely want to kiss Brad," said Sheena.  "But I won't make the first move."

During conversation, Brad wondered why Sheena was still single and she answered it was because she's "incredibly picky" when it comes to men and also "really shy."  She said she feels "at ease" with Brad, who revealed that Chad got a "good feeling" from her.  Brad described Sheena as "solid" and added she'd "make an amazing wife" before the two danced by the pool.  She complimented his dancing, he called her beautiful, and then they kissed.

"I am the luckiest woman in the whole world. It was definitely the best date I've ever been on," gushed Sheena, who returned to the house and further gushed about her date.  Bettina immediately sulked, and called her date "boring" when compared to Sheena's.  Sheena asked Jenni what Bettina meant by that comment.

"She's not here for the right reasons," answered Jenni.

Prior to the upcoming Rose Ceremony, Brad spent some time with each of the six remaining bachelorettes (We'll assume he spent time with Kristy, even though she didn't appear at all in the episode except for as a killjoy on the group date).

Sheena said that following her one-on-one date, she was "definitely falling for Brad" and pulled him aside to read him a poem she wrote.  It rhymed, and Brad was impressed, asking if he could keep it.  The two shared a quick dance and Bettina was immediately "concerned" the other girls had a "deeper connection" with Brad.

DeAnna finally got Brad alone and the two were able to make-out, and Jenni confronted Bettina and asked what she meant by the previous night's comment.  Bettina seemed rattled and stumbled over her words, first calling it a "joke" before adding she meant it "sarcastically."  Jenni wasn't buying it and felt Bettina was being "very different" around Brad than she was around the other girls.

As if on cue, Bettina told Brad she was feeling something "deeper than anything I've ever felt," all but assuring that she'd be receiving a rose.  Hillary was bummed at Brad's connection with Bettina, and he tried one more time to explain his emotions for her.

"This girl is just a friend.  That's what I want her to know tonight," explained Brad before confronting Hillary.  "But how can I relay that to someone that won't listen to a word I say?"  He figured he'd give it a shot.

"I want to shoot straight with you," he began to Hillary.  "I have to say that I absolutely love the fact that I am such a good friend... I feel so comfortable.  We have had just something different, and that's again, I am shooting straight with you and that's what's so confusing... about this whole entire process.  You follow me?"

While it's unsure whether Brad could even follow himself, Hillary was apparently A-OK.

"Honestly I'm kind of feeling the same way as you do," said Hillary, still unaware what Brad was trying to tell her.  "We do have a chemistry, and I know without a doubt that you could not only be my best friend, you could be my lover and also be a great husband to me.  Every time I'm with you I just light up and have a smile ear to ear.  I get butterflies in my stomach."

Hillary added she was aware "a lot of girls" see her and Brad as a "best friend-type," again unaware that he also feels the same way.

"I feel more than that, and I can see that he feels more than that too," she said.

The Bachelor 11's fifth Rose Ceremony than commenced.  DeAnna, Jenni, Sheena and Bettina all received roses, meaning Kristy and Hillary were cut from the competition.  Hillary cried and was consoled by Kristy, who eventually said her goodbyes to Brad.  Hillary than said an emotional goodbye to the four remaining suitors before giving a hug to Brad and walking outside, where she started to hyperventilate and sob uncontrollably.

"I don't get it!" she lashed out.  "How can you sit there one day and say you're such an awesome person and you're so genuine and you're fun and you're the most comfortable that I am with out of anybody in the house... You sit there and say all those things and I'm sitting outside here now.  I'm not in there with him and I don't understand!  To go from falling in-love and wanting to be with no one else but Brad... to nothing, is just the hardest thing."

Brad looked like he was having a difficult time with the decision he just made, pacing back and forth in-front of the four women he just presented roses to.  He eventually went outside to check on Hillary.

"Talk to me... Please," said Brad.

"I just want to know why you're sending me home," asked Hillary, a seemingly simple request.  "I don't understand."

"Quite honestly, I'm so scared to take a step as big as meeting your family and then realizing that at the end of all this, we are too good of friend instead of anything else," he explained.

"It just sucks because I'm falling for you," answered Hillary, adding she still wants him to meet her family.  "I can't force something if you don't feel it..."

"I hope you know how amazing I think you are.  I think you really are one in a million... one in a million," said Brad to Hillary before saying goodbye for good.

"I'm so hurt and so upset.  I wanted him to meet my family," cried Hillary.  "I actually fell for the guy... and he didn't fall for me.

The Bachelor 11's next episode will air Monday, October 29 at 10PM ET/PT on ABC, with Brad making hometown visits.
