The Bachelor alum Peter Weber has revealed how he feels about Kelley Flanagan's decision to also move to New York City following the former couple's recent split.

The Bachelor's Season 24 star and Kelley initially had plans to move to New York City together, but neither person changed course after their December 2020 split.

"We don't talk, but if we do [run into each other], I'll be okay with it. You know, I would love to see her," Peter told Us Weekly on the "Here for the Right Reasons" podcast.

"It might be a little weird, obviously," he added.

Following their December split, Peter and Kelley briefly reconciled earlier this year but then chose to part ways for good in February 2021.

In the meantime, Peter moved to New York in January and Kelley revealed her plans to move to the Big City during a March podcast appearance on "Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe."

"I honestly would love to have a friendship with Kelley if that's ever possible, you know, if she does come to the city, that would be, in my opinion, the best-case scenario," Peter explained.

Peter told Us that he and the Chicago-based attorney "just kind of grew apart a little bit"

"It obviously sucks, like, it was a really great relationship that I had with Kelley. I truly just learned so much. And I am so, so grateful to have been able to date her," Peter shared.

"It's just, I think, one of those things that, you know, not every relationship is gonna last. We dated for, like, 10 months, and I'll always look back on those 10 months with such fondness, but I think we just got to a point where, obviously, we had some differences and whatnot. And that's okay. It wasn't anything crazy."

Peter now has a roommate in New York, The Bachelorette alum Dustin Kendrick, and the two guys just launched the "Bachelors in the City" podcast.

"Kelley's [still] my friend," Dustin told Us in his joint interview with Peter.

"I did kind of feel like I lost a friend a little bit, but I know we're still cool. I just, I gotta give them their space... It's good for me to kind of back out at the moment."

Peter shared how Dustin, whom the pilot met on The Bachelorette's fifteenth season starring Hannah Brown, has been "a great support system" for him.

"It is so good to have a roommate that you can, like, count on and rely on when you're going through some sad times or whatnot," Peter said.

Dustin added, "It's a big city, we'll be fine."

As for his current dating life, Peter admitted he should stop "chasing relationships" for a while.

Prior to dating Kelley, Peter had a failed engagement to his The Bachelor winner Hannah Ann Sluss and then Peter tried to reconcile with Madison Prewett -- who quit Peter's season during their final date -- in March 2020, but the couple's relationship never really got off the ground.

"This is, like, a really good period for me, I think, [to] just focus on myself and work on myself and be okay on my own," Peter shared.

"But I mean, I have so much love in my heart for [Kelley], I do, and I always will. I honestly, like, truly just wish the absolute best for her."

In Kelley's March interview with The Bachelorette's Season 11 star Kaitlyn Bristowe, Kelley said of her revived romance with Peter, "If I could put it in the best way, I think that on my end, there was just a lot of non-negotiables in the relationship."

"Actions kind of speak louder than words and it takes a long time to figure that out," she explained at the time, according to E! News.

"If there was something that I saw as disrespectful in the relationship, I would speak on it and I was pretty vocal. Communication is huge in a relationship and there were things where I would essentially be like, 'Hey, this makes me feel like s--t. This makes me feel like this way.'"

Kelley explained things "weren't really changing" and she and Peter were "definitely struggling and having hard times."

"There was a lot of push back from both ends," Kelley recalled.

"I essentially asked him if I could have a couple of days to process it myself before we let the entire world know and I wanted to tell my family and my friends and just be able to process it within myself before I have it on blast... that necessarily wasn't granted."

But Kelley may have already found herself a new man. She is rumored to have "turned down Bachelor in Paradise because she is dating someone," according to an E! News source.

Peter and Kelley reunited after The Bachelor as friends to quarantine in Chicago in March 2020 and then a romance sparked and they went Instagram official in May of that year.
