On Wednesday, United Airlines posted a heartfelt video on their official Instagram page of Peter Sr.'s final flight with the airline on April 15, which the reality TV star was able to co-pilot.

Peter, 30 -- making an announcement over the intercom -- says in the video, "Ladies and gentleman, today is a very special flight for us here at United Airlines. Our captain today is my hero and someone I've looked up to my entire life -- my dad."

"I have the honor of serving as his first officer on his retirement flight today. This will be the most special flight of my career," Peter says.

Peter went on to explain how he was "born to fly," and more specifically, to be a pilot for United Airlines.

"A huge reason was to potentially fly with my dad, at least once," Peter says in the video. "And to be able to do it on his retirement flight, I can't believe that it's happened."

Peter Sr. then shared how Peter Jr. was exactly like him growing up and the former The Bachelor star always had an interest in airplanes.

"He pursued it, just like I did, and made it all happen," Peter Sr. explains.

Peter comes from an aviation family because his mother Barbara Weber was a flight attendant, and Peter's younger brother Jack is also an airline pilot.

"It's a really cool relationship to have a dad who's doing exactly what I've always dreamt of doing and then to be able to follow in his footsteps," Peter gushes.

"Just seeing how much his career has meant to him and how much happiness it's brought him, this is a memory I will never forget. Literally, we have the best job in the world."

And Peter Sr. admitted he wishes he could start his career all over again after 37 years of working in the airline industry.

"I've just loved every minute of it," Peter Sr. says.

And Barbara went on to share in the video, "I always tell my husband, 'Yes, it's your time to retire, but the legacy will continue with the Webers at United.'"

Peter called his dad his "biggest inspiration" and said he's always wanted to be just like him.

"I'm going to do my absolute best to make him proud," Peter notes at the end of the clip.

Peter joined United Airlines as a pilot on May 25, 2021, when the "Adventures of Pilot Pete" author announced on social media that his dream had finally come true.

"My parents met aboard a United flight my dad was operating while my mom was a flight attendant. I have memories of having my parents listen and critique my welcome aboard announcement as if I were the Captain of that United flight," Peter wrote at the time in a lengthy caption.

"You all know flying was my first love, and United is a big reason why," he added. "As I begin my career with United I'm hopeful to soon welcome my brother Jack aboard to complete the family legacy and spend a beautiful career flying all around the world together."

Peter has appeared to be single ever since his difficult February 2021 split from The Bachelor alum Kelley Flanagan.

Peter's The Bachelor season ended with the pilot proposing marriage to Tennessee model Hannah Ann Sluss, but he broke off the engagement while his season was airing in early 2020.

After a February 2020 hookup with The Bachelorette's Season 15 star Hannah Brown failed to reignite a spark between the former lovers, Peter briefly reunited with his The Bachelor frontrunner Madison Prewett -- who quit during her final date with Peter -- when they filmed The Bachelor: After the Final Rose.

However, Peter and Madison announced two days later they were going to go their separate ways.

Hannah Ann is currently dating pro NFL football player Jake Funk and Madison is happily dating a man named Grant Michael Troutt.
