K-pop singer Taeyang topped Billboard's world albums chart with his solo album White Night.

The Big Bang singer's third full length solo album claimed the number one spot on the Billboard world albums chart for the week ending on Sept. 2.

It marked the second time Taeyang has reached the top of the Billboard charts as a solo artist, as he also accomplished the feat with his 2014 album "Rise."

"White Night" also reached number one on iTunes album charts in 24 countries, since its release on Aug. 16.

The album featured the singles "Darling" and "Wake Me Up" and placed number five on the Heatseekers Chart and 12 on the Independent Albums chart.

Taeyang is set to begin a global tour, starting with a pair of shows at Jamsil Olympic Stadium in Seoul on Saturday and Sunday.
