"Spotlight" and "Mad Max: Fury Road" were the big winners at the Critics' Choice Awards ceremony Sunday night.

"Spotlight" earned the honors for Best Picture, Best Acting Ensemble and Best Original Screenplay.

"Fury Road" scored the prizes for Best Director for George Miller, while its stars Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron were declared Best Actor and Actress in an Action Movie.

The fourth installment in the franchise also went home with the statuettes for Best Action Movie, Best Production Design, Best Editing, Best Costumes, Best Hair and Makeup, and Best Visual Effects.

Brie Larson was presented with the Best Actress trophy for her work in "Room" and her co-star Jason Tremblay picked up the award for Best Young Actor/Actress.

Leonardo DiCaprio was deemed Best Actor for "The Revenant," a movie also recognized for Best Cinematography.

"The Big Short" won for Best Comedy, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Actor in a Comedy for Christian Bale.

Sylvester Stallone and Alicia Vikander were presented with the awards for Best Supporting Actor and Actress for "Creed" and "The Danish Girl" respectively.

"Inside Out" was voted Best Animated Movie, "Trainwreck" star Amy Schumer Best Actress in a Comedy, "See You Again" from "Furious 7" Best Song and Ennio Morricone's music for "The Hateful Eight" Best Score.
