A California security camera captured the moment a wandering bear broke into a home by pushing its way into a crawl space.

Joanne Apodaca of Monrovia shared home security camera footage showing the bear wandering around the driveway and bushes outside her home.

The video shows the bear push its way into the home's crawlspace moments before police arrived on the scene.

"He might've left," an officer peering into the crawlspace can be heard saying.

The bear emerges from the crawlspace shortly after and the police officer gets out of the way as the animal flees the area.

Monrovia frequently sees bear activity around this time of year, with one bear being caught on camera at the end of April taking a swim in a resident's backyard swimming pool.
