Sandra Bullock will star in a new film about filibustering state senator Wendy Davis.
Davis, who served as a senator from 2009 to 2015, held a filibuster in June 2013 to block a bill which included more restrictive abortion regulations in Texas.
She delayed its passage beyond the midnight deadline for the legislative special session.
The bill was later approved in a new special session, but the U.S. Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional in 2016.
The movie has yet to secure a director and distributor.
Variety reported the project will be shopped to studios, and is expected to garner interest over the next week.
