Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has announced the sex of his and wife Sally's twins.

Wood took to Twitter Sunday to address why his pregnant wife left the band's tour in South America, citing Zika virus fears.

"My wife @sallywood has not been 'sent home' from @rollingstonestour," Wood wrote. "Our twins come first and we decided the Zika virus & excessive flying was too dangerous for them."

"Our baby GIRLS are growing beautifully," the 68-year-old rocker added alongside a hand-drawn sketch of his wife holding two babies with the words "My Little Stars." written alongside it

Theater producer Sally Wood, who married Ronnie Wood in 2012, also confirmed the news of her twins on Twitter. "Yes, we're having two girls! So wonderfully happy & excited, we can't wait to meet them xx," she wrote.

Wood is reportedly due in June, according to People.
