ROH's Kenny King on facing Kenny Omega, appearing on 'The Bachelorette'
UPI News Service, 11/09/2017
Ring of Honor Television Champion Kenny King continues to enjoy a prosperous career within the wrestling promotion, earning a chance to face off against Kenny Omega on Saturday.
King will be meeting Omega of New Japan Pro-Wrestling fame and the current IWGP United States Champion at a ROH live event in Fort Lauderdale as part of a Six-Man Tag Team Match.
Omega, one the biggest stars from around the world, will be joining his fellow Bullet Club members, ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks to take on King and his partners of Jay Lethal and Dalton Castle.
The bout, King said during an interview with UPI, will be "one hell of a match."
"Jay and I have a feel of each other and Dalton Castle is unpredictable, but I think the three of us can get it done," he continued confidently about his teams chances against The Bullet Club who, despite their success and popularity, are not the only ones to be looking out for in ROH and NJPW.
King won the coveted Television Championship in September during ROH's Death Before Dishonor XV pay-per-view event when he defeated NJPW star KUSHIDA. "He tried to take my arm off. That was one of the most physically taxing matches of my career," the 36-year-old said of battling KUSHIDA.
Winning the Television Championship came after King entered the national spotlight as a contestant on ABC's most recent season of The Bachelorette featuring Rachel Lindsay. The professional wrestler was unable to win the heart of Lindsay, but has enjoyed the extra attention and popularity he has received from fans of the show known as "Bachelor Nation."
"'Bachelor Nation' is a real thing and they are every bit as passionate about the Bachelor and Bachelorette as wrestling fans are about wrestling," King said. The appearance on The Bachelorette has led to him wearing gear that reads "Rose Boys" in reference to the friends he made on the show.

He said that Bachelorette fans attend ROH shows to see him compete.
"One of my first shows back there was a girl in the audience with a 'Kenny, will you accept this rose?' sign and fans will chant 'Get that rose' at shows," he said.
When asked about potentially returning to the series or becoming the next Bachelor, King was noncommittal, stating that while there was interest from fans, it would be a decision he would have to think on.
"It's one of those things that come with a lot of pros and a lot of cons," King said. "It's a part of who I am but it doesn't necessarily define me."
