The former The Hills and Laguna Beach star is "getting very close" to reaching an agreement to participate in Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew's fourth season, TMZ reported Thursday.

Should Wahler ink a deal to appear on the VH1 reality show's upcoming installment, he'd be joining former A Shot at Love star Tila Tequila -- who reportedly committed to be a cast member earlier in the week.

Wahler has bee arrest six times in recent years arrest for alcohol-related offenses -- the most-recent one coming in March when he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol in Newport Beach, CA. He had a blood-alcohol level of .19 at the time, more than twice the legal limit.

He subsequently plead guilt to drunken driving and was sentenced to three years probation, three months in an alcohol-offender program and two days in jail -- however he was given credit for time already served.

Wahler previously completed a stint in rehab in July 2007 following a September 2006 altercation when his blood alcohol level was allegedly .22%.
