An Alaska burglar was arrested after police say she stole a woman's mounted zebra head and called a taxi cab as a getaway vehicle.

Stacy Scott said she checked her home security cameras after she arrived at her house in Anchorage to find it had been burglarized.

Scott said the woman entered through the unlocked back door, filled bags with belongings including her late father's prescription medications and snacked on ice cream while inside the house.

The security camera footage shows the burglar walking from the front door to a waiting taxi cab while carrying the stuffed zebra head, which Scott said was a gift from a friend.

Police contacted the taxi company for information and soon arrested Desiree Fuller, 38, at a local motel.

The zebra head, which Scott named George, was found in the trunk of the taxi.

Scott said George is now safe at home and will be decorated festively for Christmas.

Fuller was charged with felony burglary and theft. She was released after posting $1,000 bond.
