Playgirl magazine, based in New York, said it is asking the son of U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., to pose nude for its pages.

Daniel Nardicio, vice president of marketing for the magazine, said Lucas Bachmann, 28, son of the Tea Party politician, "would be the perfect candidate for Playgirl," the New York Daily News reported Wednesday.

"Lucas is attractive and I thought it would be sensational," Nardicio said.

Lucas Bachmann, a psychiatry resident at the University of Connecticut, responded to the request on Facebook.

"I'm not interested," he wrote on the social networking site. "One must have a certain degree of anonymity when treating patients in the mental health community."

However, Nardicio said he still hopes to woo Bachmann with a promise of $100,000 compensation. He said convincing family members of conservative politicians to shed their clothing is interesting to readers.

"People love hypocrisy," he said.
