Peter Weber has admitted he was ready to walk away from his The Bachelor season when Hannah Brown showed up a second time and appeared to suggest she'd like to date him again.

During the January 2020 premiere of The Bachelor's 24th season, Hannah -- who eliminated Peter in third place on Season 15 of The Bachelorette -- stepped out of a limo on Night 1 only to return the set of wings the pilot had given her when they first met on Hannah's season.

"I remember the first time that she showed up on my season was the first night with all the limos," Peter, 29, said on a recent episode of Us Weekly's "Here for the Right Reasons" podcast.

Peter recalled how the limo with Hannah inside sat outside of The Bachelor mansion for 15 or 20 minutes.

"No one got out. And I'm just standing there. No one's coming up to me -- obviously, they don't show this part -- but I'm just, like, there waiting, like, 'Okay, when's the door gonna open? What kind of surprise is it gonna be?' No producers are coming up to me or anything," Peter said.

Peter admitted that seeing Hannah step out of the limo on Night 1 was a "complete shock."

"At first I was like, 'There's no way that's Hannah, like, there's no way.' [I thought] it was a look-alike. I thought it was just this gorgeous girl... and then I realized her smile. That bright smile, like, that's Hannah Brown, holy sh-t," Peter shared.

After the "emotional" reunion, according to Peter, Hannah later returned to host a "sex stories" group date, which was derailed when Peter found Hannah crying alone in a room.

Hannah admitted to Peter she had unresolved and lingering romantic feelings for him in a very touch-feely and teary-eyed conversation, and Peter seemed to feel the same way.

Peter attempted to console his ex as she sobbed in his arms on The Bachelor over her decision to give Jed Wyatt her final rose and also ask out her runner-up, Tyler Cameron, on The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose after she had called it quits on her engagement.

Peter essentially asked Hannah to join his cast of bachelorettes because they clearly still had intense chemistry, but Hannah seemed to suggest they should just take off together.

"I was an idiot, producers probably hated me, but I literally, like, I think they edited this part out, I was like, 'I'm gonna leave the show, like, if you want to, if you want to give this a shot, I'll leave right now,'" Peter revealed on the podcast.

"And she's like, 'You can't do that, Peter, you're the Bachelor, you signed a contract.' I'm like, 'No, like, I'll do it. What are they gonna do to me?'... I don't know what I was thinking that day. I was very confused."

But the episode showed Peter, recognizing he had been Hannah's third choice, deciding to part ways with Hannah once and for all in order to give this season of bachelorettes a fair chance.

"Our lives kind of separated there," Peter noted of the former Alabama beauty queen.

But Peter still canceled the day portion of that group date in the January 13 episode because he confessed he wasn't in the right headspace to date multiple women after his reunion with Hannah Brown.

"I am very in touch with my feelings... and I know when I'm feeling something and when I'm not, and I was just kind of going off of what I was feeling there. Maybe I was a little too impulsive," Peter admitted in hindsight.

A source told Us in January 2020 that Hannah got emotional with Peter during that group date because she was feeling "overwhelmed from her busy schedule" given she was competing on Dancing with the Stars' 28th season at the time.

"She felt pressured and she was being pulled in a million different directions from ABC," the source said, adding however, that Hannah was feeling "some regrets" about her split from Peter after Jed's cheating scandal.

The source also said that Hannah seeing Peter again "brought back old feelings that she didn't want to be dealing with" and she "didn't need this little interruption" in her life.

At the end of Peter's The Bachelor season, he got engaged to Hannah Ann Sluss. But Peter broke things off with Hannah Ann weeks later due to the fact a part of his heart still belonged to Madison Prewett, who quit the show during her final date with Peter.

Madison and Peter decided to give their relationship a shot on The Bachelor: After the Final Rose in March 2020, but they announced just two days later they had decided it would be best not to pursue a romance.

Peter subsequently reunited with his fifth-place The Bachelor finisher Kelley Flanagan and the pair quarantined together in Chicago. What was intended to be a friendship quickly took a romantic direction and then the couple dated -- on and off -- until they announced their split in February 2021.

Kelley has reportedly moved on with a new man since then, and Hannah also has a new boyfriend, model Adam Woolard.

"You know, I'm super happy for her," Peter said on the podcast of Hannah.

"I see she's in an awesome relationship and she seems super happy. So that just makes me super happy. And she's an amazing person. And I've got nothing but great things to say about her."

Peter, who currently lives in New York City and just launched a new "Bachelors in the City" podcast with The Bachelorette alum Dustin Kendrick, concluded that he has "all the faith in the world" his future wife "is out there."
