Best friends and Pen15 stars Maya Erskine and Anna Konkle say becoming moms at the same time is the "best" experience.

Erskine and Konkle, both 34, appeared on Tuesday's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where they discussed how they became pregnant and gave birth within two months of each other.

Erskine announced in November that she was engaged and expecting her first child with Michael Angarano. Konkle announced in January that she was expecting her first child with Alex Anfanger.

On Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Erskine and Konkle said Konkle gave birth nine weeks ahead of Erskine.

"It's surreal," Konkle said.

"It actually is the best to have a friend, a best friend, go through it at the same time," Erskine added. "I feel bad though, because she's two months ahead of me."

Erskine and Konkle said their children have since met and formed a special connection.

"They met a few days ago for the first time, because we finally got vaccinated. It was really special," Konkle said.

"I think they love each other. I'm just gonna say it," Erskine added. "I don't think they were like co-existing, I think they were staring at deep into each other's eyes and like truly connecting. I really believe that."

Konkle has a daughter, Essie, while Erskine has a son, Leon. Konkle and Erskine discussed the possibility of their children eventually falling in love.

"We think they're gonna grow up probably and be like, 'Oh yeah, I've known Essie ... forever but you know, like, our parents are family friends and I really hate her.' So we think they're gonna get to that point and then fall back in love," Erskine said.

Erskine and Konkle co-created and star on the Hulu series Pen15. Hulu released Season 2, Part 1 in September and has yet to announce a release date for Part 2.
