Nico Tortorella has landed the lead role in AMC's upcoming "The Walking Dead" spinoff series.

Deadline.com said the "The Following" and "Younger" actor will play good guy Feliz on the show, which will co-star Annet Mahendru, Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Nicolas Cantu and Hal Cumpston.

The third installment in the zombie-apocalypse franchise doesn't have a name yet, but is expected to focus on people who came of age after civilization collapsed.

The show is filming now in Virginia and scheduled to premiere in the spring.
